The protection of your personal data is an important matter for us. We therefore only process your data on the basis of legal provisions (GDPR, Austrian Data Protection Act (DSG), Austrian Telecommunications Act (TKG)). In this data protection notice we inform you of the most important aspects of data processing with regard to this website and the Trustworthy Edge AI Conference 2027 (TEA 2027).
The controller for the processing described here is:
You can contact our data protection officer at dpo@silicon-austria.com. Conference-related enquiries can be sent to tea-conference@silicon-austria.com.
If you make contact with us using a form on this website or by e-mail, the data you have provided is saved and processed for the purposes of working on your query until its conclusion, and to meet our obligation of documentation, until you revoke this in writing. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and, where a contract is concluded, the performance of that contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). We do not provide this data to third parties without your consent.
If you submit an abstract for TEA 2027, we process the data you enter in the submission form (in particular name, organization, e-mail address, session, title and abstract, and any uploaded document) in order to review the submission, to inform you of the outcome, and — where the submission is accepted — to prepare the conference programme. The legal basis is the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in organizing the event (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Submissions are shared with the members of the programme committee, including the organizing partners TU Wien and AI Factory Austria, for the purpose of review and selection. If your submission is accepted, your name, organization and the title and abstract of your contribution will be published in the conference programme and on this website.
The submission form is provided by Tally (Tally BV, Belgium), which acts as a processor on our behalf under a data processing agreement. Submission data is stored on servers within the EU. Submissions are retained until the conference documentation is concluded and are then deleted, unless statutory retention obligations require otherwise.
If you register for the conference, or register as an exhibitor or sponsor, we process the data required for registration, invoicing and admission (in particular name, organization, function, e-mail address, billing data and, where applicable, dietary requirements). The legal basis is the performance of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and, for invoicing records, compliance with our statutory retention obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR; retention period seven years under Austrian tax law). A list of participating organizations may be made available to participants and sponsors; individual contact details are not passed on without your consent.
Photographs and, where announced, video recordings may be taken at the conference and used for reporting on the event and for the promotion of future editions, on the basis of our legitimate interest in documenting the event (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Participants will be informed on site and can object to the use of images showing them at any time by contacting tea-conference@silicon-austria.com.
This website itself does not set cookies for analysis or advertising purposes. Cookies may be set by the embedded submission form for the purpose of operating the form. Cookies are small files that are automatically saved on your device by your browser. You can of course delete cookies after you have finished using our website by means of the corresponding function in your browser, and you can deactivate cookies in your browser at any time. If cookies are deactivated, some functions of this website may not be available in full.
This website does not use Google Analytics or comparable tracking services. Should web analytics be introduced at a later point, this notice will be updated and — where legally required — your consent will be obtained beforehand.
This website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. (Cloudflare Pages) as a processor on our behalf. When you access the website, technical access data is processed automatically, in particular your IP address, the date and time of the request, the page requested, the referrer, and information about your browser and operating system. This data is required in order to deliver the website and to ensure its security and stability (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and is not merged with other data sources.
Cloudflare operates a global network, so processing may also take place outside the EU. Transfers to third countries are safeguarded by the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission.
This website loads the “Montserrat” web font and program libraries required for display from external content delivery networks operated by Google LLC and other providers. When these resources are loaded, your IP address is transmitted to the respective provider. This is done in order to present the website in a consistent form (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Links to the websites of our partners, the venue and our sponsors are only followed when you click them; the data protection notices of those websites then apply.
With regard to the data we save in relation to you, you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, revocation and objection.
If you believe that the processing of your data breaches data protection law, or that your rights in relation to data protection have been infringed in any way, you can make a complaint to us at dpo@silicon-austria.com or to the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde, Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, dsb.gv.at).
